The last ten years has seen a major shift in the way hockey players prepare for competition. Since the inception of the new NHL, players are required to be stronger, faster, and more agile. In short, hockey has become a much more athletic game. Eli Sport has trained and prepared hockey's elite by helping them realize their true athletic potential for six years. Our methods of training will fully prepare you for the rigors of training camp, and inject you with confidence that only a professionally trained athlete posseses. Many programs promise mass and weight gain, however, hockey training is not about body building. A training program in itself is ineffective. What makes our training unique is the manner in which our trainers teach Eli's philosophies of movement and speed training and apply them to your sport. Eli Sport builds dynamic athletes by increasing explosive power, top-end speed, shot velocity, and game durability. Eli Sport's hockey specific training program utilizes state-of-the-art training equipment and techniques that are guaranteed to improve your strength, speed, power, and agility. Furthermore, you will establish the proper techniques for plyometrics, core strength training, and the proper mechanics of movement. Eli Sport introduced modern hockey training to P.E.I. in 1999, and since has trained the province's top hockey performers. Brad Richards has trained with Eli Sport since junior and swears by its effectiveness. Brad attributes his explosive speed and lightning quick release to the techniques learned at Eli Sport. Eli Sport offers monthly and year round training programs for Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Midget, Junior A, Major Junior, and Professional hockey players. All training is based out of our own private facility. We are always excited to work with committed hockey players who are prepared to work with our team of highly motivated training professionals. |
